About Us

Isidro is The Hammering Man. A self-taught jeweler and multiple patent holding inventor. Isidro was born in Argentina. At the age of 9, his family immigrated to the United States, where he became a citizen.

Upon earning a Fine Arts Degree from Indiana University, Isidro moved west to Seattle. Happily married with two grown children, Isidro now lives in the woods at the center of the Universe, where he draws his inspiration.

Each work of art is authenticated with Isidro’s hand stamped signature “I.G. Nilsson”

Making my own flavor of jewelry since 1976

My shop started in a Chevy Van. When I graduated I loaded up my stump and a couple of railroad spikes that I polished up and started to tour the US in my van.

I ended up in Key West Florida for a few months and eventually worked my way up to the Seattle area where I fell in love with everything including Joanie who is now my wife and best friend.

We got a place in the woods and built a home. My studio is considerably bigger than the old van but I still use the same stump workbench that I used back in the day.
